Installation Instructions

Windows Installation

  1. Download the .exe installer
  2. Run the installer and follow the setup wizard
  3. Launch Modbus Connect from the Start menu

Air-gapped or restricted networks: Use the Windows Offline Installer instead — it bundles the WebView2 runtime so no internet connection is required during setup.

macOS Installation

  1. Download and open the .dmg file
  2. Drag Modbus Connect into the Applications folder
  3. Launch Modbus Connect from Applications

The macOS build is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens normally.

Linux Installation

  1. RPM: Download and run sudo rpm -i Modbus*.rpm
  2. DEB: Download and run sudo dpkg -i Modbus*.deb
  3. Launch from your application menu or terminal
